Regles Professionnelles de Construction en Paille

Réseau Français de la Construction en Paille

Straw, used as an insulating filling and as a support for rendering, finds its place in many construction projects: individual houses but also public buildings and apartment buildings. The revised CP 2012 professional rules accompany this development by uniting professionals around good practices. This third edition, reorganized and expanded with chapters by families of construction systems, is completed with new illustrations and enriched with feedback. A map of the risk of wetting of facades, accompanied by advice on the choice of the most appropriate facings, helps to take into account climatic constraints during design. The book details the properties of the straw bale material, the construction systems linked to the use of straw (frameworks, insulation), the management of interfaces between building trades (joinery, technical equipment), as well as the implementation of coatings, cladding and veneers. Numerous practical documents are provided in the appendix: specifications, schedules, procedures and quality control sheets, calculation methods, maps of climatic conditions, etc.
